Simply Dickens Christmas Show

Celebrate a nostalgic Christmas with the vocal group Simply Dickens, who will perform “Old World Christmas Carols” at the Plymouth Historical Museum on Tuesday, December 4 at 7 p.m. The show focuses on music of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, highlighting Christmas carols that were popular long ago. Some tunes will be familiar, while others may be a first-time experience. Group members incorporate holiday skits, adding comedy and laughter to this seasonal performance. Tickets to the “Old World Christmas Carols” show are $10 in advance or $15 at the door and can be purchased at the Museum or on the website at www.plymouthhistory.org. Purchase a new or renewed Daisy membership to the Friends of the Plymouth Historical Museum ($50 value) and receive 2 free tickets to this event. Museum doors will open at 6 p.m., the show begins at 7 p.m. Come early to explore the Museum’s special exhibit “A Dickens of a Christmas,” which runs through January 13, 2013. The exhibit pays homage to the Victorian holiday world of Charles Dickens, who celebrates his 200th birthday this year. For more information visit the website, or call 734-455-8940.
