Community Financial to Donate Up to $30,000 to Local Charities This Month

Get social - social media that is - with Plymouth's Community Financial Credit Union and they will donate $25 on your behalf.

Throughout the month of December, Community Financial Credit Union will donate up to $30,000 to local nonprofit organizations instrumental in providing heat, food and clothing for families as part of its Warming Hearts & Homes program, according to their blog post.

According to Sarah Cousineau, Marketing Manager at Community Financial, “We will donate up to $10,000 each week to charitable organizations. The best part about this campaign is that you just have to use your computer or smart phone, and we do all the donating.”

There are three ways to contribute to Community Financial’s Warming Hearts & Homes program. Community Financial will donate $25 every time someone does the following:

  1. Like the credit union’s Facebook Page.
  2. Tweet #CFCUwarms on Twitter
  3. Text CFCUwarms to 70 000.

From Dec. 1 - 7, funds raised will be given to The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW). THAW helps cover the cost of home heating for families who can’t meet these bills. During Week 2 from Dec. 8-14, Community Financial will contribute to local food pantries. For Week 3, ending on Dec. 21, Community Financial will donate to The Salvation Army’s “Coats for Kids” program.
