Rotary Club of Plymouth AM weekly meeting

Rotary Club of Plymouth AM weekly meeting Program today: Elizabeth McCormick of Elizabeth McCormick Enterprise on "What Being An Army Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot Taught Me About Life on the Ground”.   Many women have served in the Armed Forces, but few can claim the distinction of being an Army Blackhawk helicopter pilot like Elizabeth McCormick.   But it wasn’t easy. Elizabeth overcame the lack of having any mechanical training to fulfill her dream of becoming a helicopter pilot and endured stalking and abuse by another officer at her first duty assignment. Over the course of her seven years in the service, Elizabeth rose to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2 and served as Rear Detachment C Company Commander during peacekeeping operations in Kosovo.   For her excellent service, Elizabeth was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Army Aviator Badge. In addition, she recently received the Congressional Veteran Commendation for serving her country and outstanding community service as a veteran.   A certified speaker, trainer and coach for the John Maxwell Team, Elizabeth works with large and small companies, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies across the country to facilitate developing relationships, increasing influence and improving leadership skills.   Elizabeth is a certified DREAM COACH®, helping individuals find their purpose, passion, and follow their dreams. She is the founder and host of the “Soaring Further Radio Show,” a motivational internet radio show which can be heard at www.nbbradio.com.
