Tanger School Holiday Party/Plymouth AM Rotary

On Wednesday December 7, the Plymouth AM Rotary Club will sponsor a dinner for Tanger School students and their families.  Tanger School is operated by the Plymouth-Canton School District and includes special programs which serve the needs of infants and young children with special needs from birth through five years of age.

The Holiday party is a great celebration for the students and their families complete with dinner, fun activities and crafts, holiday music and a special visit from Santa Claus.  Students and their siblings each receive a book from the club and members of the Rotary’s Interact Club for High School students as well as students from the Youth Leadership Program are on hand to help with the festivities.

In addition to the party, the Plymouth AM Rotary Club will make a special presentation of new playground equipment for the school which was purchased with the help of special Rotary District funds for play equipment made especially for children with special needs.  This playground equipment will be added to other special need gear which has been donated by the club over the past 6 years including all the required apparatus for the school’s  Sensory Motor Room which helps students develop motor skills.
