Canton Farmers Market Winds Down

All good things must come to a end. Oct 16th marks the ending of Canton's Farmers Market 2011 season.

As Canton Farmers Market vendors prepare to wrap up the season, they admit that they've enjoyed spending their Sunday's at the market.

Canton Farmers Market is sponsored by Canton Leisure Services and offers a mixture of homegrown goods and crafts at the historic Preservation Park, 500 N. Ridge Rd.

"I've been here every single Sunday since May and I truly enjoy it. Even when it rains, I show up because there is a nice barn here for us to use," said vendor Lina Mattioli of Lina's Creations.

"Week after week we get a good turnout. People from all over stop by and we try to make them feel welcome to enjoy all of the services that our vendors provide, said Bill Tensen, co-chairman for the Cady Boyer barn committee.

"We love this market, it's nice and the people are really nice. My husband and I have been vendors here for three years and we'll definitely be back next year," said Kathy Sansonetti of Sansonetti Foods.
