Patch readers told us who the "Everyday Inspirations" in their communities are, and we're sharing their stories and the work they've done locally.
Everyday Inspirations is a series that features people in Patch communities who inspire others through their work, or people who have faced extraordinary situations and grown from them. They have been featured by other people in the community that have been inspired by the nominees.
Name: Wendy Distelrath
Town: Plymouth, MI
Nominated by: Diana Lingle
Why is this person an "Everyday Inspiration?"
Wendy is a volunteer for our ENLIST program here at Monroe Bank & Trust as well a Sunday School teacher, a mother of five and very involved with her children's school activities.
How does this person work to make others' lives better?
Being a mother of five is a task in itself and yet Wendy is always available to lend a helping hand! Last year alone she volunteered over 175 hours of her free time to local community organizations such as Penrickton Center for the Blind, Michigan Philharmonic and the Northville Community Foundation just to name a few. Wendy is a very caring and devoted member to our program!
