The Pet-of-the-Week from the Humane Society of Huron Valley is Pippin

This handsome tuxedo cat with the nice white mustache is Pippin. Although technically considered a senior because he is 11 years old, Pippin is far from retiring and enjoys playing as much as enjoys napping on your lap.

Pippin’s family moved and could not take him along. That was a bit of a hard adjustment for him, so Pippin was placed in one of our cozy Humane Society of Huron Valley Foster Homes where he could ease into his transition. He did very well, in fact, he was out and about so much in the foster home, he accidentally snuck out the door.

We were all worried, but Pippin was not afraid at all, and eventually walked into a backyard barbeque in the neighborhood and promptly jumped into a guest's lap. This super friendly and smart kitty is now safely back at the HSHV waiting to be adopted.

If you are looking for an independent but affectionate cat, we do hope you will come and meet Pippin. He seems to enjoy a quiet and laid back home where he can spread out and make himself right at home. This Friday, Aug. 9, HSHV will once again hold a Free Feline Friday where any cat older than 5 months will be eligible for a free adoption. Pippin has been waiting for a home of his own since February.

HSHV is open daily at 11 a.m. for adoptions. All pets available for adoption are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, medically and behaviorally evaluated, and they have a microchip ID all included in their low adoption fee. Please make adoption your first option.
