I'm not flexible; I can't sit still- Why Yoga?

I hear so many times from people who believe that yoga is not right for them because they are not flexible, or they can't be still long enough.  In the first case, flexibility is not a requirement, but found in practice.  Yoga is an opportunity to learn how to live differently, more aware, and connected to ourselves and our environment.  Practicing to be in the moment without distraction- so we can make wise choices for ourselves and our loved ones.  In the second case, sitting still is a challenge for most.  This media and technology driven culture keeps us engaged mentally and emotionally stimulated without realizing how long we've been drawn in sometimes.  Without the mental driving of  technology, we may feel agitated and anxious when we turn it off.  Still feeling the driving energy, our body doesn't know what to do with the excess energy resulting!  
Yoga allows us to connect with our energy- the excess or lack of- and bring it into balance.  Feeling stability in the body and mind, it's a relief for so many to experience.  
So consider a yoga practice- whether your flexible, or not.  Think again if you can't sit still- you need this!
