Ever noticed Hope Farm on Ann Arbor Trail?

Discover another Historic Plymouth Home

Our area is filled with so much history and for my family it's our hobby to learn about old homes and structures here in Plymouth. This week we discovered a grand farm house that sits behind a shroud of trees, located at 39505 E. Ann Arbor Trail just East of I-275. The original farm house was built in the 1860's and has seen additions though the late 1800's and early 1900's. This home was once owned by Harry Ayers who had hoped to do well maintaining a Cattle Farm but the ground couldn't sustain also growing the feed required to feed the cattle, so he started an Orchard. He called this property Hope Farm. Today it still remains as a sign of an era gone by. It truly is a grand home.
