Friday, March 7:

Space: A Journey to Our Future at Sloan Museum. SPACE: A JOURNEY TO OUR FUTURE will ignite your desire for discovery, spark your imagination, and inspire new generations of explorers to dream of the possibilities that lie ahead.

Dinosaurs at Dusk at Cranbrook Institute of Science. Travel back in time to meet the pterosaurs and the ancestors of modern-day birds: the feathered dinosaurs. When time runs out, experience first-hand the cataclysmic "last day" of the dinosaurs.



Saturday, March 8:


One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure at Cranbrook Institute of Science. Big Bird takes viewers on an exciting discovery of the Sun, Moon, and stars. They learn about the Big Dipper and the North Star and take an imaginary trip to the Moon where they learn that the Moon is a very different place from the Earth.

The Big Read Dearborn Kickoff at The Henry Ford - America's Greatest History Attraction. We will launch a 10-week literary adventure called The Big Read Dearborn. In conjunction with the Dearborn Public Library and other community organizations, we will examine every aspect of Jack London’s classic American novel, The Call of the Wild.

Maple Sugaring at Indian Springs Metropark. March is Maple Sugaring month! With Spring not too far off, the warm days and freezing nights encourage sap flow in maple trees. This is the ideal time to collect the sugary sap and boil it down into maple syrup.

Ballroom Dance Nights at The Pittsfield Township Parks & Recreation Department . The evening begins with an intro to dance steps for beginners or those wanting to polish old skills. The dance follows the lesson.

Kids Night Out at Goldfish Swim School - Ann Arbor. Need a night out? Drop off the kids for a couple hours of great fun! Swimming, dinner and games will keep them entertained!



Sunday, March 9:


Public Skate at Novi Ice Arena. Weekend Open Skating session. Admission: $4 for Novi Residents, $5 for Non-Residents Skate Rental is available for $3

SSSSSSSSnakes!: A Hands-On Demonstration at Michigan Natural History Museum. Come explore the world of snakes. We’ll take a look at snake skin, hear like a snake, and use museum specimens to learn more. Together we’ll learn about Sanajeh, the 11-foot snake that lived during the Cretaceous period and ate baby dinosaurs.

Family Reading and Science Workshop: Present Day Predators and Prey at Michigan Natural History Museum. In the circle of life there is a delicate balance of predators and prey, each keeping the other in check. This workshop will explore how we monitor the health of those relationships and what we can do to maintain the balance.

FoolMoon Luminary Workshops at FestiFools. Every Sunday in March, the community is invited to come to Workantile to create a Moonagerie themed luminary for this year’s FoolMoon. Supplies are provided for a suggested donation of $10; artists will be there to help you create your luminary!

Shamrocks & Shenanigans 5K Run & Walk, Kid's Kilometer, Kid's Dash at Running Fit. Family friendly event in downtown Ann Arbor to benefit SAVE A HEART, medals for all Kid's Kilometer and Kid's Dash finishers!
