Friday, May 23:

Music in the Air at City of Plymouth. The Friday Night "Music in the Air" concert series begins another summer season on May 23 through August 29.

Penguin Beach and Flamigo Exhibit Grand Opening Celebration at Toledo Zoo. 2014 is the year of flight at the Toledo Zoo, with cool experiences that bring you closer to everything that flies—from butterflies and birds to reptiles (yes, reptiles!).

Baby Playgroup at  the Traverwood Library. This is a time for babies up to 24 months and their grown-ups to gather and play. The Library will provide the space and a variety of toys. Each playgroup includes 15 minutes of stories, rhymes and songs.



Saturday, May 24:


International Story Times at Novi Public Library. Volunteer presenters share stories in their native languages of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Czech, Tamil, Hindi and Marathi. All children are welcome to attend.

Dancing Babies with Melissa Hudson at the Traverwood Library Melissa Hudson, leader of KinderRock events, presents a program of music and motion. This event is intended for 0-5 years.

Civil War Remembrance at The Henry Ford - America's Greatest History Attraction. Journey back in time to America in the 1860s as our nation is engaged in a massive civil war affecting lives across thousands of miles, from New Mexico to Tennessee and Vermont to Florida.



Sunday, May 25:


Fireside Fun – A Good Old-fashioned Campfire Circle at Leslie Science and Nature Center. There’s nothing quite as relaxing as sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and swapping stories. One Sunday a month, we’ll be stoking the fires here at LSNC. Bring your family, camp chairs, and s'mores fixings.

Kensington Critters  at Kensington Metropark. Meet some of the critters that make Kensington Nature Center their home. No registration needed for this program. All ages.

St Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade at Kensington Metropark. This years theme is “Honor. Freedom. Family.” Traveling North on Harper Avenue from Little Mack to 11 Mile Road.

Monday May, 26:


Dexter Memorial Day Parade The Rotary Club of Dexter is pleased to announce the 2014 Dexter Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony will be held on Monday May 26, 2014. The parade will start at 10 am. The Memorial Day Ceremony will follow immediately after the parade.


Sterling Heights Memorial Day Parade The city will hold its 35th annual Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade Monday, May 26. A memorial ceremony begins in the City Center Courtyard at 9 a.m., followed by the Parade on Dodge Park Road at 10 a.m.


Saline Memorial Day Parade May 26 10:00 am - 11:00 am Memorial Day Parade Location: Michigan Ave, Downtown Saline


Memorial Day Parade 2014 The Groves Walker American Legion Post 346 and the Xemplar Club of Farmington/Farmington Hills will co-sponsor the 2014 Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26. Starting near the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Orchard Lake Road.
