Democrat Kristy Pagan Recognized as a Game Changer

CANTON, Mich. – Democratic candidate Kristy Pagan received a major endorsement from the Women’s Campaign Fund (WCF) on Monday. WCF named Kristy, a candidate for Michigan State Representative, a Game Changer, one of only 40 candidates in the country to be recognized for this honor.

For 40 years, WCF has been supporting women running for office at all levels of government and from both sides of the aisle with diverse backgrounds and bold visions. WCF’s Game Changer initiative selects 40 candidates nationwide who have the qualities necessary to make a real difference in government.

“Women’s Campaign Fund is proud to name Kristy Pagan as one of our Game Changers,” said Clare Bresnahan, Political & Programs Director for WCF. “The initiative is all about finding women who are redefining politics from the inside out and that’s what Kristy’s campaign is all about. She is one of the most dynamic women leaders in Michigan and has leveraged her own qualifications as well as her labor background to help women run for office across the country. She even started her own business to help women and progressives win. She would be an outstanding representative for the 21st district in the State House.”

“My entire career has been about empowering women to have a strong voice in our communities and at the decision making table. It is a tremendous honor to be recognized as a Game Changer and be endorsed by the Women’s Campaign Fund,” said Kristy, a Democrat running for State Representative in the 21st district to serve the communities of Canton, Belleville, and Van Buren Township in the Michigan House.  “To be added to the ranks with some of my political mentors including Wendy Davis, Sandra Fluke, and Alison Lundergan Grimes, is truly humbling.”
