5. Road closures in Plymouth today

Several roads in Plymouth will be closed today, one for a Ford commercial video shoot and one for a Consumers Energy project.

Consumers Energy will be closing Mill St. between Ann Arbor Trail and Main Street/Plymouth Road beginning today. Mill Street will be closed until April 18. There will be no trough traffic, but residents will have access to their homes. The project will include relocating a gas main and a sewer repair.

Film crews also will be in the City of Plymouth from 9 a.m.-noon today on Main Street from Fralick to Hartsough to film a Ford commercial. Temporary road closures are anticipated as crews capture footage of Ford vehicles traveling through downtown.

4. Check out the proposed new boundaries for Plymouth-Canton schools on district site

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is redrawing many of its district lines for elementary and middle schools. We covered last week's reveal of these boundaries and with their thoughts here on Patch. Check out the maps for yourself and let us know what you think.

3. Hines Park dog park to close for reseeding

The dog park at Hines Park will close from May 1-May 25 to plant new grass. It will be unavailable for use during this time.

Additionally, registration for the park's 2012 season will begin May 1, according to an email from park officials. The fee this year will increase to $20, up from its previous fee of $5.

Applicants can apply for a park pass at Nankin Mills, 33175 Ann Arbor Trail. They will need to bring the dog's city or township dog license and vaccination records.
