Plymouth-Canton Little League Celebrates 10th Anniversary at 2013 Opening Day

Plymouth-Canton Little League officially opened its season and celebrated its 10th anniversary of serving the Plymouth/Canton community.

Plymouth-Canton Little League (PCLL) hosted 400 league families at its Opening Day Celebration at Canton Softball Center on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

The festivities included introductions of each team in the league, the Detroit Tigers' mascot Paws, presenting of colors by Chapter 528 Vietnam Vets of America, and members of the PCEP Marching Band.

PCLL was honored to have other special guests join the celebration. PCLL donated $250 to the Miracle League of Plymouth (MLP), represented by Glen Kordick, MLP's Deputy Commissioner. The Domzalski Family (Mike, Leanne, Caden and Peyton) of Plymouth attended so sons Caden (player in PCLL) and Peyton (player in MLP) could throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Larry Fix, District 16 Administrator for Little League International, honored PCLL for winning Little League International’s 2012 1st Place ASAP Safety Award in the Midwest Region, a testament to PCLL’s commitment to the safety of its players and volunteers.

Saturday was a terrific day for PCLL and all of its families!
