'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Opens Thursday

Showings begin at 8 p.m. Thursday.

The buzz this week in entertainment is the second installment of the Hunger Games.

This time, Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence, is the spark of a revolution against the vicious ruling class Panem.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" opens Thursday at various times at local theaters. The movie is 2 hours and 26 minutes and is rated PG-13.

Emagine Canton:
  • Showtimes are 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and 12:01 a.m.
  • The theater is located at 39535 Ford Road, Canton.
Goodrich Quality Theaters Canton 6:
  • Showtimes are 8 p.m., 11:10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

  • There are showings every hour from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

  • There are showings every half hour from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and a midnight showing at 12:01 a.m. 
  • The theater is located at 19500 Haggerty Rd., Livonia
MJR Westland Grand Cinema 16
  • Showtimes are 8 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. with late night showings at 12:01 a.m. and 12:02 a.m.
  • The theater is located at 6800 North Wayne Road, Westland
