Spring is in the Air

Eighth annual Spring Arts & Crafts Ensemble at Plymouth High School is this Saturday, March 10.

It's early March and we've already enjoyed some wonderful Spring-like weather this week.  Considering our very mild winter, I'd say we've been very fortunate in SE Michigan so far this year.

Just like the bears, many of us Plymouth-Canton Music Boosters tend to hibernate in the winter months.  Well, watch out Plymouth-Canton, the boosters are waking up and its time to start another season of Marching Band!

Our first official fundraising effort of 2012 is fast approaching. On Saturday, the PCMB will host its eighth annual Spring Arts & Crafts Ensemble at .  Located at 8400 Beck Road in Canton, this one day event is the largest fundraiser the Boosters host. Doors open at 9 a.m. and close at 4 p.m., so be sure to get your shopping time in! (We also host a Holiday Arts & Crafts Ensemble in November the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving.)

Come on by the craft fair Saturday where you'll find more than 100 handcrafted items made by local and not so local exhibitors.  One exhibitor is coming in all the way from Kentucky for this one day juried event.  Jewelry, purses, art, clothing, furniture, golf clubs, and yummy treats await you so plan a day of it.  Stay for lunch where you'll find sandwich wraps, soup, and chili.  Pick up a sweet treat at our bake sale for munching on the spot, or bring home a homemade pie for the family.

It's just $2 admission and strollers are welcome.  You'll find our very own band students performing throughout the event, plus there is free face painting in the cafeteria for the little ones.  This event helps fund the upcoming Marching Band season at the PCEP, so please plan to visit and support the kids.
