Chicago Blackhawks Sign Plymouth Whalers Forward Ryan Hartman to Entry-Level Contract

PLYMOUTH - The National Hockey League's Chicago Blackhawks have announced the signing of Plymouth Whalers veteran Ryan Hartman to an entry-level contract.

Hartman, 19, was selected by the Hawks in the first round (30th overall) of the 2013 Nataional Hockey League Draft.  A forward who can play the wing or center, Hartman has spent the last two seasons with the Whalers and has 33 goals with 48 assists for 81 points in 76 games for Plymouth.

He also represented the United States in the 2013 World Junior Championship and helped Team USA win the gold medal in the tournament.
