While the Whalers Battle Guelph on Saturday, Fans Can Help The Hungry

Instead of working out or skating on the ice at Compuware Arena on Tuesday morning, several Whalers spent a three-hour shift working at the Gleaners Community Food Bank warehouse in Howell.

Carter Sandlak, Victor Crus Rydberg, Matt Mistele, Mitch Jones, Nick Malysa, Zach Lorentz and Danny Vanderwiel - along with staff member George Defenthaler - unloaded boxes of food in a three-hour shift of Whalers Sweat Equity that will help feed the hungry during the upcoming holidays.

While the Whalers will have their hands full with the Guelph Storm on Saturday at Compuware Arena, fans are asked to do their part for hungry people in the area.
