12 Windows Shattered Over Weekend in Plymouth Township

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An unknown suspect broke the front window of a home before 5:45 a.m. Oct. 7 on the 40000 block of Firwood, according to a Plymouth Township Police report. The responding officer noticed that the front window of the home had a golf-ball sized hole in one of the two panes of the window, the report said. He thought it appeared to be the work of a BB gun since it did not have enough power to penetrate the second pane, according to the report. The homeowner said it is the third time in three to four months that property at his home has been damaged, the report said. The man called police later that day to say he found three BB pellets in the front window track, the report said, and the police took the items as evidence. 

Incident #2

An unknown suspect broke the driver's side window of a vehicle at about 6 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 40000 block of Firwood, according to a police report. The vehicle owner said he was awoken by his vehicle alarm, the report said. He found that someone had broken his black 2009 Ford Mustang driver's side window, according to the report.

Incident #3

An unknown suspect cracked the rear window of a vehicle before 9 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 11000 block of Gold Arbor Road, according to a police report. The vehicle owner said she parked her black 2010 Ford Edge at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 6, the report said. The next morning, she found the rear window had been broken, according to the report. It was cracked in a spider web pattern from the center. 

Incident #4

An unknown suspect shattered the rear window of a vehicle before 9 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 11000 block of Gold Arbor Road, according to a police report. The vehicle owner said he parked his black 2011 Chevrolet Equinox in his driveway at about 11 p.m. Oct. 6, the report said. He said he noticed the following morning that the vehicle’s rear window had been shattered, according to the report.

Incident #5

An unknown suspect shattered the driver's side window of a vehicle before 9:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 9000 block of Marilyn Ave., according to a police report. The vehicle owner said her tan 1998 Ford Contour was parked outside of her home at 2 a.m. Oct. 7, the report said. She noticed the vehicle’s driver side window had been shattered when she returned to her car hours later.

Incident #6

An unknown suspect shattered the driver's side window of a vehicle before 7:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 9000 block of Southword Road, according to a police report. The vehicle owner said he parked his 2003 Ford LGT in front of his home at about 1 a.m. Oct. 7, the report said. He said he noticed the driver’s side window had been shattered when he returned a few hours later, according to the report.

Incident #7

An unknown suspect shattered the driver's side window of a vehicle before 10:50 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 11000 block of Haggerty Road, according to a police report. The responding officer drove by the home and saw the driver's side window on a white 2001 Ford Explorer had been shattered with what appeared to be a BB pellet, the report said. The officer contacted the registered owner at his residence, who said he parked in the street and the vehicle was undamaged as of noon Oct. 6, according to the report.

Incident #8

An unknown suspect shattered the driver's side window and stole items from a vehicle before 11 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 11000 block of Haggerty Road, according to a police report. The vehicle owner said he parked his 2012 Fiat 500 outside of his residence at about 12:45 a.m. Oct. 7, the report said. He noticed the vehicle’s driver side window had been shattered hours later, according to the report. He continued checking for damage and found two BB pellet holes in the windshield, the report said. He also found that his leather jacket and GPS had been stolen from inside the vehicle, according to the report.

Incident #9

An unknown suspect shattered the driver's side rear window of a vehicle before 11:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 9000 block of Southword Road, according to a police report. The vehicle owner said he parked his white 2007 Ford Focus in front of his home at about 4:30 a.m. Oct. 7, the report said. He said he noticed the vehicle’s driver side rear window had been shattered and there was one BB pellet hole in the windshield hours later, according to the report.

Incident #10

An unknown suspect broke the windshield of a vehicle before 11:30 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 41000 block of Bruce, according to a police report. The vehicle owner said he parked his vehicle in his driveway in the evening of Oct. 6 and noticed there was one BB pellet hole in the windshield of his silver 2011 GMC Sierra the following morning, the report said.

Incident #11

An unknown suspect shattered the driver's side rear window of a vehicle before 9 a.m. Oct. 7 at a home on the 41000 block of Bruce, according to a police report. The vehicle owner said she parked her red 2004 Pontiac Grand Am in front of her home at about 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6, the report said. She noticed the vehicle’s driver's side rear window had been shattered when she returned to her vehicle in the morning, according to the report.

According to a news release Tuesday by Plymouth Township Police, a suspect also shattered a twelfth window, but the police report for that incident was not made available.

There were no witnesses to any of these incidences.
