3 Suspects in Armed Robbery to Be Arraigned Thursday

Suspects due in court in connection with armed robbery at a Verizon store in Canton that prompted lockdowns at four local schools.

Update: Due to weather conditions, the court was closed Wednesday and the arraignment has been moved to Thursday.

Three suspects are expected to be arraigned on Thursday in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Monday at a Verizon store on Ford Road west of Morton Taylor Road in Canton, according to a news release from police officials.

The incident prompted the lockdown of four Plymouth-Canton elementary school buildings from about 11:30 a.m.-noon Monday as police searched for the suspects.

The arraignment will take place at 35th District Court, 660 Plymouth Road, in Plymouth with a time to be determined by the court.

According to Canton Police, no further information will be released prior to arraignment.
