82-Year-Old Northville Man Caught Shoplifting at Plymouth Busch's

Police: Man cited for retail fraud and served a trespass notice.

On April 3, an 82-year-old Northville man attempted to steal items from Busch's Fresh Food Market at Sheldon and Five Mile Roads, according to a Plymouth Township Police report. 

The store manager told police that an employee saw the man conceal two packages of fish in his jacket, then exit the store. The employee followed the man and asked him if he had anything he didn't pay for and the man confirmed he did, the report said. 

The man had concealed a bag of almonds, a bag of spinach and two packages of farm-raised Norwegian salmon, totaling $30.79.

Police cited the man for retail fraud and served a trespass notice and told not to return to Busch's, per the store's policy.
