Canton police and fire crews responded Friday to a serious injury accident on Ford Road, just west of Ridge Road, according to a news release from the Canton Public Safety Department.
According to the news release, Ford Road is closed from Ridge to Napier Roads and travelers are advised to avoid the area.
Preliminary reports indicate two passenger vehicles and one semi truck were involved in a crash, according to the news release, and the driver of one of the vehicles has been airlifted to an area hospital.
Further information will be released as it becomes available, the news release indicated, including the reopening of Ford Road.
