Canton resident Robert Carl Kahler was found guilty Tuesday by a Wayne County Circuit Court jury for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in his neighborhood, according to the Observer & Eccentric.
Kahler, 57, was arraigned on the charges back in 2011.
Kahler was found guilty of one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony punishable by up to life imprisonment, and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
He now awaits sentencing by Judge Thomas Jackson, according to the Observer & Eccentric.
