Canton Police Arrest Man Accused of Stealing Women's Clothes

The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Canton Township Police responded Dec. 2 to Kohl’s, 47250 Michigan Ave., for a report of shoplifting, according to a police report.

The store’s loss prevention officer told police he saw a man select women’s Fila-brand outfits from the store and proceeded to the men’s fitting rooms, then exited without any merchandise, the report said.

When the man tried leaving the store, he was stopped by the loss prevention officer, who escorted the man to his office. The employee recovered $181 in merchandise from the man, the report said.

Police arrested the man on charges of third-degree retail fraud.
