Canton Police Arrest Man on Charges of Shoplifting from Walmart

The following information has been provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

 

arrested a man Aug. 28 at 1:09 a.m. on charges of shoplifting from , 39500 Ford Road, according to a police report.

A Walmart employee said the man quickly selected a wrist watch and cell phone charger from their aisles and proceeded to checkout to purchase milk and cookies, the police report stated. The employee said the man did not attempt to pay for the other merchandise, according to the report.

The wrist watch and cell phone charger, a total value of $21.86, were recovered, the report said. The man awaits arraignment. 

Graffiti Mars Home Garage

Canton Police responded to a report of graffiti Aug. 23 at 8:31 a.m. at a home on the 1200 block of Waterside Road, north of Saltz Road and west of Canton Center Road, according to a police report.

The graffiti was on the garage of the home, and the responding officer said the black markings appeared to be two pepper shapes inside of a block box with a cross on the outside of the box, the report stated. Police do not have a suspect.
