Canton Police Find Hydrocone Pills, Arrest Man On Charges of Driving with a Suspended License
The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Canton Township Police arrested a man on charges of driving with a suspended license and two other men for warrants 6:13 a.m. Jan. 7 near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Lotz Road, according to a police report. Police also found an unmarked bottle of Hydrocone pills in the vehicle, the report said.
The officer observed a black 2001 Jeep Cherokee drive across the front parking lot of Days Innthen to the building's west side and out of sight, the report said. A few minutes later the Jeep came back to the front of Days Inn and exited onto Lotz Road, according to the report. While the officer was behind the Jeep on southbound Lotz Road at Michigan Avenue, the officer noticed the Jeep had a burned out driver's side tail light and stopped the vehicle, the report said.
The driver said that he was at his grandmother's home in Romulus and was picked up by the front seat passenger and the rear passenger who were taking him home to Detroit, according to the report. The front seat passenger said the vehicle belonged to his cousin and they had permission to have the vehicle, the report said.

The officer discovered the driver currently had a suspended license, the front seat passenger had a warrant with Dearborn Heights for driving with a suspended license, and the rear passenger had a warrant with Dearborn Heights for a civil infraction, according to the report.
The officer requested a tow truck and during an inventory search found a large orange pill bottle located in the center console, the report said, which had no label and contained 45 white pills. All three men denied possessing or knowing about the pills, according to the report. The two men with warrants were transported to meet with Dearborn Heights police and the driver was taken to the Canton Police Department, the report said.

The 45 pills were later confirmed as Hydrocone 750 MG, according to the report. However, because none of the men acknowledged ownership of the pills, it is up to a prosecutor to determine any charges, Canton Police said.
