Canton Woman Gets Jail Time for Bleach in Husband's Eye Drops

The husband suffered no permanent eye damage.

A 35-year-old Canton woman was sentenced to 9 days in jail and probation Monday after being convicted for putting bleach in her husband's eyedrops, according to WDIV

Kristy Ryan McDermed pleaded guilty in December to domestic violence after her husband reported the incident after a dispute between the couple. 

In addition to her short jail sentence and 18 months of probation she will have to pay a $1,195 fine, WDIV reported.

McDermed's husband didn’t suffer any permanent damage, but immediately knew something was wrong after using the drops in one of his eyes, the Canton Observer reported
