Car Stereo, Navigation Thefts Reported in Plymouth Township

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Plymouth Township Police responded Nov. 21 to TUV America, 47523 Clipper Drive, for a report of a stolen car stereo, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police he parked and locked his Chrysler Town and Country minivan in the east parking lot of TUV America at about 8 a.m. on Nov. 21 and when he returned to his vehicle at noon, both the driver and passenger-side front doors were unlocked and the car’s stereo/GPS/DVD unit had been removed from the dashboard, the report said.

Police did not see any signs of forced entry, the report said, and there was no surveillance footage available of the vehicle break-in.

Police have no suspects.

Car stereo, DVDs reported missing from vehicle

Plymouth Township Police responded Nov. 21 to the 47000 block of Galleon Drive for a report of a stolen car stereo, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police he went to retrieve an item from his vehicle at about 9 a.m. and left it unlocked, then came back about two hours later  and found the car stereo had been stolen, as well as a Snow White DVD and a NinjaGo DVD.

Police have no suspects.

In-dash navigation and radio system stolen

Plymouth Township Police responded Nov. 21 to Fraunhofer USA, 46025 Port St., for a report of a stolen car stereo, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police between 8:30-11 a.m. on Nov. 21, someone broke the left middle window of his Dodge Caravan and stole his built-in navigation system and car radio unit, the report said.

The man told police he had his vehicle’s alarm activated, but it did not go off when the break-in occurred, the report said.

Police do not have any suspects.
