Money Missing After Man's Lost Wallet Recovered at Compuware Arena

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Plymouth Township Police responded Dec. 16 to Compuware Arena, 14900 Beck Road, for a report of a larceny from the arena, according to a police report.

A man at the arena told police he was in town from Illinois with his son’s hockey team, which had played at Compuware Arena, according to the report. He told police he lost his wallet between 8 and 8:45 p.m. and was unable to locate it after an extensive search, the report said. He told police he also contacted arena personnel about the lost wallet.

The man told police he received a call from another parent on the team after he had left the arena indicating the wallet had been recovered near a dumpster by Compuware Arena employees, the report said.

According to the report, the man told police a large amount of cash had been taken from his wallet.

Police asked arena personnel to review security footage to try to locate a suspect.

The man told police he just wanted his money back and did not care about prosecution. He told police other team parents helped pay for his return trip to Illinois.
