Catalytic Converter Stolen From Car in Plymouth Township Commuter Lot

Police said the part cost $2,500 to replace.

A woman reported that her catalytic converter was stolen from her car on July 19 while it was parked in the commuter lot at Tavistock Circle and E. Ann Arbor Road, according to a police report.

The woman told police she left her car at 6:55 a.m. and when she returned at 2 p.m. and started the car, it was extremely loud and the check engine light was on, the report said. 1400. 

The woman said she took the car to her dealership in Novi for a diagnostic check when she was advised that the catalytic converter was cut out of her exhaust system, the report said.
