Court Blotter: Assault and Battery, Retail Fraud and Marijuana Possession

Here's a roundup of court cases in the 35th District Court from May 25-June 6.

The following items are updates on cases in the 35th District Court, which serves Plymouth, Canton and Northville. Not all items, unless otherwise noted, reflect guilty pleas or convictions.

Daniel Jeff Worchester, 21, Inkster

  • Pleaded not guilty to retail fraud.
  • Pretrial held, posted 10 percent bond.

Darel James Dawnson, 20, Canton

  • Pleaded not guilty to assault, resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.
  • Waived preliminary exam and bound over for trial.

Ruscoe Levi Lawson, 30, Westland

  • Arraigned for marijuana possession.
  • Pleaded not guilty; pretrial scheduled for June 20.

Sherry Lynn See Miney, 51, Westland

  • Pleaded guilty to third-degree retail fraud.
  • Sentenced to 30 days in jail or a mental health facility.

Darrion Edriece Pool, 50, Detroit

  • Arraigned on a charge of assault and battery.
  • Adjourned for discovery.
  • Pretrial scheduled for July 5.

Craig Michael Reuers, 19, Canton

  • Pleaded not guilty to possession of marijuana and operating while intoxicated.
  • Pretrial scheduled for June 21.

Norman Arthur Speier, 61, Northville

  • Pleaded not guilty to fighting with and threatening others.
  • Paid $500 personal bond.
  • Scheduled for trial July 25.

James Robert Strong III, 32, Ypsilanti

  • Arraigned on a charge of retail fraud, second degree.
  • Scheduled for pretrial after transferring bond from another case.

Martin Joseph Stamper, 21, Canton

  • Pleaded nolo contendere to a charge of assault and battery committed  March 9.
  • Sentenced to probation and delayed sentencing.
