Crime Report: Canton Woman Accused of Hit-and-Run

responded June 10 to , 39800 Ford Road, for a report of a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot, according to a police report.

The driver of a red Ford Taurus told police when he left the store, he was met by witnesses who told him a woman in a black Toyota Camry had backed into his car before leaving the scene.

Witnesses told police the driver was yelling at a girl in the back seat of her car, struck the rear of the Taurus, stopped and called someone and took off without getting out of her vehicle.

Witnesses provided police with the woman’s license plate number and said her car sustained damage to the right rear bumper.

Police were able to locate the driver of the Camry, the report said, and the woman told police she got scared and left. Police cited the woman on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident with a June 27 court date.
