Crime Report: CVS Accuses Man of Trying to Take Male Enhancement Pills

The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Canton Township Police were dispatched May 13 to , 7269 N. Canton Center Road, for a report of a man removing security tags from packages of male enhancement pills from the store, according to a police report.

The store’s loss prevention officer told police he saw a man take two packages of male enhancement pills and leave without offering payment, the report said. He told police he saw the man removing security stickers from the packaging, but did not see him conceal the pills.

The employee told police on May 1 was investigated by Plymouth Township Police. Canton Police retrieved the name of the man in the Plymouth Township incident and traced him to a motel at Ford Road near Interstate 275, the report said.

Canton Township police questioned the man about the male enhancement pills and the man told police he had removed the security tags, but had second thoughts and discarded the pills before leaving the store.

Police searched the man’s motel and truck, the report said, but couldn’t find any pills.

A follow-up call with CVS’ loss prevention officer indicated employees at the CVS at Cherry Hill and Canton Center roads saw the man in their store, but he was turned away when he tried to get a refund for the male enhancement pills.

Not having sufficient evidence for an arrest, police closed the case, the report said.

Flea and tick medicine reported missing from PetSmart

Canton Township Police were dispatched to , 47142 Michigan Ave., for a report of someone taking 14 packs of K9 Advantix and Advantage-brand flea and tick prevention medicine from the store, according to a police report.

An employee at the store said there is no video surveillance in the store and has no idea who took the items, which totaled $630.71, but needed a police report for the store’s loss prevention department.
