responded May 26 to an apartment at the 40000 block of Tamarack Avenue for a report of breaking and entering, according to a police report.
A man who lived at the apartment told police he had left the apartment the previous night to drive to his girlfriend’s house, the report said. When he returned, he noticed his door was ajar and saw that someone had thrown a rock through the master bedroom window and he noticed property missing from his apartment, the report said.
According to the police report, the bedroom window of the apartment was shattered and a concrete-type piece of rock was lying on the floor. A nightstand had been knocked over and dresser drawers were left opened, the report said.
The resident told police a small safe in a guest bedroom containing his passport and life insurance policies was missing.
While exploring the area outside the apartment, police noticed the same type of rock used to smashed the bedroom window lying near a fence separating the apartment from a nearby golf course.
Police have no suspects.
