Crime Report: Man Tells Police Men Forcibly Stole His Bike

met Monday at the department with a man who reported two men forcibly taking his bicycle, according to a police report.

The man told police he stopped at the former of Northville and Five Mile roads with his blue and silver mountain bike when two men pulled up in a truck alongside him, got out and pushed him off the bike, the report said.

The man said one person sped away with the bike and the other drove away in the truck.

The man told police both men were wearing hoodies that obscured their faces, so he couldn’t provide a physical description, and that the incident happened so quickly, he was unable to provide a plate number or detailed vehicle description.

Plymouth Township Police stopped May 6 to investigate a vacant vehicle parked on Gunsolly near the railroad tracks and tunnel, according to a police report.

According to the report, the vehicle engine was still warm, but nobody was inside.

The officer then parked his vehicle near the scene and waited for the vehicle owner to return, suspecting drug activity.

The officer stopped the vehicle when it left the scene and the officer detected the smell of marijuana, the report said, and the driver admitted there was a marijuana pipe inside the vehicle. The driver told police she had a medical marijuana card inside the vehicle.

The officer located a prescription bottle with one gram of marijuana, a partially full half-pint of Jagermeister liquor and rolling papers, a rolling machine and glass pipe inside a purse on the passenger seat, the report said.

The passenger said she owned the purse and did not possess a medical marijuana card, and was arrested on charges of marijuana possession.
