Crime Report: Stolen Lawnmowers, Larceny Reports

Riding mower stolen 

Plymouth Township Police arrived at Morgan Avenue at noon Sunday in reference to a stolen Craftsman riding lawnmower valued at about $500, according to a police report. The owner told police the mower it had stolen the day before. According to the police report, the owner had placed the riding mower on the grass on Ann Arbor Trail near his house, as it was for sale. He told police the mower was not secured, and a neighbor had told him he noticed the mower missing at about 7 p.m. the day before.

Camping supplies stolen

Plymouth Township Police met with a man at about 5:30 p.m. on July 30 at the station in reference to camping gear stolen from a travel trailer, according to a police report. The owner told police that between November 2010 and July 20, someone had broken into his trailer, which was parked at Travel Trailer Storage and that the driver-side window had been broken.

The owner told police the trailer had numerous cigarette butts in the toilet and sink and his green Coleman sleeping bag had been stolen. In addition, the window had to be replaced, according to the police report.

House gets egged overnight

At about 12:15 p.m. on July 28, police arrived at a residence on Ivywood Lane to speak with a homeowner who said her home had about a dozen eggs thrown at it sometime overnight, according to a police report. She told police the eggs struck the front of her home.

Lawnmowers, snow thrower stolen from church shed

On July 27, police were dispatched to Community Christ Church, 12401 Ridge Road, in response to the theft of a Craftsman riding lawnmower, a Craftsman push mower and a Toro snow thrower from the church’s shed, according to a police report.

A man at the church told police he arrived at about 11 a.m. that day and noticed the shed door was open. Between July 23 and July 27, someone forced their way into the shed, located in the southwest parking lot of the church, and stole the equipment, the report said. This was the second such incident in the past year, according to the police report.

Wallet stolen from car

Plymouth Township Police spoke with a man at the station on July 27 in response to a wallet stolen from a car parked at Beacon Hill Drive, according to a police report.

The man told police his wallet was stolen from his brother’s 2002 Kia Spectra between 11 p.m. the night before and 1 a.m. that day. He told police his wallet contained his Social Security card. Police have no suspects.
