Crime Report: Tires Reported Stolen from Vehicles in Plymouth Township

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Plymouth Township Police were dispatched Aug. 6 to Karl Drive after a woman reported someone stealing the tires from her vehicle, according to a police report.

The woman told police someone took tires and wheels from her 2009 Ford Flex while it was parked in her driveway and was left resting on landscaping bricks.

Police have no suspects and found no evidence to collect at the scene.

Tire theft, car break-in reported at Willoway Court

Plymouth Township Police also responded Aug. 6 to Willoway Court for two separate reports of thefts from vehicles, according to a police report.

One vehicle owner told police he walked outside at about 7:10 a.m. and noticed his 2010 Ford Taurus was sitting on bricks and all the tires and rims had been stolen.

Another vehicle owner told police someone smashed out the rear window on the passenger side of her 2011 Cadillac Escalade and stole an iPod that was located inside the center console, the report said. The woman told police the doors were locked.

According to the report, the suspect also tried to steal the wheels from the vehicle. Lug nuts from all the tires were on the ground next to the vehicle, the report said.
