Crime Report: Township Residents Report Vehicle Break-Ins

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

responded May 21 to the 12000 block of Glenview Drive for a report from a woman who said several items were taken from her car, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police she had parked her brown Infiniti G20 in a driveway on Glenview while visiting from Kentucky and when she woke up, she told police, she noticed several items missing, including a Garmin Nuvi GPS, a red Herv-Chapeiller handbag, a pair of Reebok tennis shoes and various clothing items, perfume bottles and skin care products.

Later in the day, police responded to Portsmouth Crossing for a report of a found red bag with items matching the description the vehicle owner had given.

The woman confirmed the bag was the one reported missing.

Woman reports attempted car break-in

Plymouth Township Police met May 18 with a woman at the station who reported an attempted break-in with her 2011 black Chrysler Town & Country, according to a police report.

The woman told police she was living in Florida from Jan. 15 to April 21 when she believed the incident happened, the report said. She told police she did not notice the damage, which consisted of pry marks from a door wedge and chipped paint, until May 8 because the damage was on the passenger door, which she does not use often, the report said.

The woman told police she received a quote for about $1,700-$2,200 to repair the damage, the report said.
