Resident tells police that car coated in oil might be retaliation for his political yard signs

Plymouth Township Police responded July 6 to Wellington Drive for a report of apparent vandalism to two vehicles, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police his black 2003 Mercury Sable and his company car, a 2011 Ford Mustang, were covered in a brown liquid, the report said. He told police he attempted to wash off the substances but was unable to remove it.

The man told police he does not have any suspects and is on good terms with his neighbors. He told police the incident might have occurred because of the political signs in his front yard, the report said.
