Crime Report: Police Cite 2 in Canton on Drug Paraphernalia Charges

The following information was provided by the Canton Township and Plymouth Township police departments. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

A officer was on bike patrol through Flodin Park at Saltz and Morton Taylor roads when he saw a black Saturn with three young males inside, according to a police report.

According to the report, the front seat passenger had a grinder on his lap and what looked to be marijuana flakes on his shorts and shirt, then tried to hide the item when the officer approached.

The officer told the man to step out of the vehicle, where he was handcuffed and told to sit on the curb.

When the officer contacted the driver, he noticed a bong in the middle front compartment of the vehicle.

The driver told police he owned both the grinder and bong.

Police cited both men on charges of drug paraphernalia possession. With a July 11 court date. The residue in both the grinder and bong field-tested positive as marijuana.

Vehicle reported damaged at Plymouth restaurant

took a report at the station June 28 about damage done to a vehicle, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police that at 12:30 a.m. on June 22, her husband had parked the couple’s blue 2009 Ford F-150 at to eat dinner with his bandmates. At about 1 a.m., a staff member at the restaurant told him someone had broken the back window out on his truck, the report said.

Police have no suspects.
