Ford Road between Ridge and Napier roads in Canton will remain closed through about 6 p.m. Friday so police can complete an investigation of an accident that occurred earlier in the day, according to a news release from the Canton Department of Public Safety.
A vehicle being driven by a 27-year old Canton woman was traveling eastbound on Ford Road on Friday, when witnesses reported the vehicle crossing over into the westbound lane and being struck head-on by a semi truck driven by a 61-year-old man, the news release indicated.
According to the news release, the impact of the collision forced the vehicle back into the eastbound lane when it was struck by a car driven by a 26-year-old Garden City resident.
