Mail Theft Reported in Plymouth Township

The following information was provided by Plymouth Township Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Plymouth Township Police met Feb. 18 at the station for a report of stolen mail, according to a police report.

A man told police he observed a driver in an older gold Chrysler vehicle removing mail from mailboxes on Southworth Road in Plymouth Township, according to the report. The man was unable to provide police with a plate number or a description of the driver, but did locate opened mail scattered on the street.

Plymouth Township Police attempted to contact the owners of the mail based on the addresses listed on the envelopes, but did not receive a response. Police have no suspects.
