Police say registered sex offender failed to report whereabouts

Canton Township Police received an anonymous tip that a 51-year-old registered sex offender no longer was living at his residence at the 8000 block of Brooke Park and had moved to North Dakota for a new job, according to a police report.

Police were unable to locate the man at the address at which he is registered. Under state law, the man must live where he is registered as an offender, the report said.
