Man Reports Hit and Run Accident in Canton

The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Canton Township Police met Jan. 19 at the station with a man reporting a hit-and-run accident causing property damage, according to a police report.

The man told police his silver Honda Civic was struck in the parking lot entrance of Kroger, 45540 Michigan Ave., as he was about to turn onto Michigan Avenue, the report indicated.

The man told police he was waiting for westbound traffic to clear when another vehicle struck his vehicle from behind, the report indicated. When he exited his vehicle to check for damage, the other driver continued onto Michigan Avenue, he told police.

The man’s vehicle sustained a scratch on its left rear bumper.

Police have no suspects.
