Motorcycle, Van Reported Stolen in Canton

The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Canton Township Police responded Oct. 16 to the 8600 block of Honeytree Boulevard for a report of a stolen motorcycle, according to a police report.

The motorcycle owner told police he had his 2004 Honda CBR motorcycle parked under a carport near his apartment building on Oct. 15 and when he returned to the bike on Oct. 16, it was missing, the report said.

The man told police the motorcycle had been paid off and that he did not have full coverage insurance. He told police the handlebars were locked and that a five-foot 2x4 was found in the area.

Police entered the motorcycle into its computer system as stolen.

Canton Township Police met with another woman at the same apartment complex that day who told officers her 1994 Dodge Caravan was missing, according to a police report.

The woman told police she had parked her van in the apartment parking lot on Oct. 15 and when she returned Oct. 16, it was gone.

Officers entered both vehicles into their computer system as stolen.

Police have no suspects in either case.
