No New Leads on Plymouth Hit-and-Run Accident

Plymouth Police say three tips to same driver in Canton ultimately lead nowhere.

A Dec. 29 hit-and-run accident at Mill and Main streets in Plymouth that left one man hospitalized with serious injuries hasn't produced any new leads, according to Plymouth Police Det. Lt. Jamie Grabowski.

Video captured of the incident from a camera mounted at appears to show a pedestrial walking at night before being struck by a sport-utility vehicle that jumped the curb and sideswiped a light post before heading south toward downtown.

Grabowski said there had been three tips for the same vehicle in Canton, but the vehicle didn't show damage consistent with the incident and the vehicle owner was not considered a suspect.

Grabowski said the pedestrian, a 30-year-old Plymouth man, has since been released from the hospital.
