Plymouth Police Recover 5.5 Pounds of Marijuana in Old Village

Police uncover large quantity of marijuana after receiving tip of suspicious activity.

Plymouth City Police on Wednesday recovered about 5.5 pounds of marijuana in a commercial section of Plymouth's Old Village, on Pearl Street, after receiving a tip about suspicious activity in the area, according to Det. Lt. Jamie Grabowski. 

In addition to the 5.5 pounds of cultivated marijuana, 38 live plants in various stages of growth were recovered, according to Grabowski, as well as marijuana-laced food and cooking ingredients, including candy marijuana suckers, butter and hash. 

According to Grabowski, the investigation is continuing into the activity that was taking place.
