Plymouth Township Man's Gun Reported Stolen

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A Plymouth Township man's gun was reported stolen from his vehicle sometime before 5:30 p.m. Nov. 28, according to a Plymouth Township Police report.

The vehicle owner said that on Nov. 14 he left Plymouth Township for a hunting trip in Isabella County and before leaving placed his Springfield XD9 (9mm) gun in a locked case under the driver’s seat of his green 1998 Ford Ranger, the report said.

He said that he returned from his hunting trip on Nov. 18 and parked his vehicle in the Plymouth Heritage Apartments lot, 12811 Heritage, and removed his hunting rifles from his vehicle but forgot to remove his handgun, according to the report.

On Nov. 28, he remembered he left his handgun in his vehicle but saw that the case was no longer there, the report said. The man said he always locks his vehicle and there was no sign of forced entry, according to the report, and he was not sure if the gun was stolen in Plymouth Township or Isabella County.

Laptop, Tablet, TV Taken from Home

An unknown suspect broke into a Plymouth Township home on North Territorial Road and stole several personal items sometime between 2:15 p.m. and 4:51 p.m. Nov. 29, according to a police report.

The homeowner said she came home to discover the small garage door open, and when she went inside she saw the rear patio door was kicked in, the report said. She said that her husband was the last person to leave the home at 2:15 p.m. Nov. 29, according to the report.

The stolen property includes a pink laptop, Galaxy tablet, Philips 26” flat screen TV, 26” Vizio computer monitor, Century safe with personal documents and a wicker trash can, the report said.
