Plymouth Township Woman Reports Fraudulent Use of Debit Card

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Plymouth Township Police met Jan. 11 with a woman at the station for report of fraud, according to a police report.

The woman told police that on Jan. 10, there was an unauthorized transaction from an OfficeMax store in Gurnee, IL, made on her debit card, according to the report. She told police she was contacted by her bank to alert her of the fraudulent transaction.

The woman told police she hadn’t authorized anyone to use her card and promptly canceled her debit card upon learning of the wrongful transaction.

Police advise the woman to place a fraud alert under her name with the Credit Bureau.
