The following information was provided by the Canton Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Canton Township Police responded Nov. 25 to Walmart, 45555 Michigan Ave., for a report of a shoplifting incident, according to a police report.

The store’s loss prevention officer told police the store had two men in custody whom he watched conceal a video game and an iPhone case, the report said.

The loss prevention officer told police he stopped the pair and recovered the items, which totaled $106.84 for one man, and $59.96 for the other, the report said.

Police arrested the men on charges of third-degree retail fraud.

For one man, this was the second such incident, which leads to a trespass notice from the store, the report said.
